Serenity HealthcareAlzheimer's and Related Disorders

Today, more than 5 million people are living with Alzheimer’s disease in the U.S. alone, the vast majority of which are aged 65 and older. And with the tsunami wave of baby boomers edging toward retirement age, that number is expected to grow substantially in the coming years.

That’s where we can help.

Serenity Healthcare offers specialized care to individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. We are intimately involved in research with Signature Research Institute, a nonprofit affiliate that works with several leading universities, so we are able to evaluate and establish new practices in dementia care on an ongoing basis.

For instance, we are working to improve quality of life for our residents and reduce the unnecessary usage of psychotropic medications through the use of multi-sensory environments. ‘Multi-sensory environments‘ are just one of a dozen innovations we employ to drive improved outcomes for our residents.

While Alzheimer’s and dementia care is a key area of expertise, we also provide traditional skilled-nursing beds and services for individuals who are not suffering from severe cognitive impairment.

Serenity Healthcare now operates nine centers in Kentucky, Florida, Maryland and Tennessee.
