Who’s had the greatest influence on your life and why?
My mom, Ruby Neilsen, who was a CNA for 30 years. She taught me the value of treating each resident with compassion as if they were your own family member! She truly loved her job and never had a bad day at work because she knew providing tender, loving care to her residents was a special calling.
What principles have guided your life?

What was the best job you ever had and why was it the best?
My job at SHC is the best job. I get to work with amazing leaders who live and breathe the mission and vision of changing the landscape of long term care forever! My role gets to touch all employees which makes an impact on the lives of our stakeholders, residents and their communities. It is an honor to work with people who “touch and impact” lives every single day for a living.
